Producer and DJ Stevo Lakatos, who is originally from the Czech Republic, was first introduced to the house music scene when he was twelve years old. After making his first appearance in the clubbing scene In Prague and being the youngest DJ around, he earned the name “DJ little Steve”. He quickly became a well-known name in the centre of Prague’s nightlife.
In 1998, Steve moved to Canada with his family and was introduced to a larger genre of music; this opened his eyes and broadened his horizons. After buying his first vinyl record, he fell in love with music and focused heavily on working up a name for himself.
Steve is currently living in Dublin and working on a few projects. He has been with Play Dublin since October 2012, and produces his own show every Thursday, from 5-6 PM.
Sticking to his first love, Steve keeps an “underground” sound in all of his tracks. With a deep rooted tune and exploding percussion, this tech house sound contains a somewhat hypnotic groove that will get you moving.
Steve’s tracks are quite progressive which allows you to connect with the sound and follow the beat neatly.
He is definitely an uprising DJ that must be watched out for in the near future.

Play Dublin have nabbed Ben Pearce from the Airport to bring you a live show at 10:30 this morning before he heads to the Life Festival. Interact with Ben from our live page and tune in to what’s going to be an amazing show and an amazing weekend.

In Manchester (UK), Ben cut his teeth with many years running and DJ-ing for a successful night and is now producing records with an ever filling gig diary. With a childhood spent enjoying heavy metal and pop punk, he moved into electronic music in his late teens. His first full length EP within a few days reached No.3 in the Beatport Chart and No.1 on the Deep House Chart. The track has been highly supported by Solomun, Seth Troxler, David August, Jamie Jones, Maya Jane Coles, Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Heidi, Maxxi Soundsystem to name but a few. The “What I Might Do” EP landed on MTA Records/Under The Shade on 01.10.12 with remixes from Adam Shelton, Bonar Bradberry (PBR Streetgang & Harry Wolfman).

In late 2011, Ben was made Creative Director at Purp & Soul; an already established brand by friend Chris Farnworth. Together they have formed a label & agency which is going from strength to strength forging family ties with 8 artists so far on the roster. Showcases have sold out in this country and abroad and their label continues to build momentum.

With the next record in the pipeline already, Ben has recently remixed for Southern Fried, Lost My Dog Records and is working on many others.
